WELCOME LETTER

Dear Friends,

To me, to us at Freedom Family and Faith.com, these three things – Freedom, Family and Faith – are seen to be the foundations, the pillars on which this great nation, this great and good society, was built on. These are the pillars that support my life, and perhaps yours as well.

At the start of 2016, The conventional political wisdom said that America's best days were behind, that freedom family and faith were outdated concepts, superseded by "progressive" "modern" "real-world" politics - of redistribution, of division and groupism and "identity politics", of a lower standard of living for everyone going forward. Chronic high unemployment and poor job market participation was the new standard. Children could no longer look forward to doing better than their parents had. America's best days as a nation of producers, a nation able to develop its vast energy resources, were over.

We would no longer be a free nation able to define our own borders, but would have to in essence surrender our national sovereignty because of the push for nearly unrestricted and poorly vetted immigration. Our physical safety, and our liberty would continue to be degraded as we would continue to appease those who despise America, especially those involved with radical Islamic terrorism.

Our courts would continue down the road the Constitution never envisioned, with a small number of individuals on the Supreme Court making sweeping extraconstitutional decisions that would continue to redefine and undermine centuries and millennia of western culture, including definitions of family. The misapplication of the role of the Supreme Court would likely lead to further erosion in most or all of the protections in our Constitutional Bill of Rights, including the right to bear arms and protect ourselves from runaway government, the right to religious liberty (as individuals and as business owners), and the freedom to speak openly - vigorously criticizing persons and policies we disagree with.

On the presidential side of the equation, the race in 2016 would be between Hillary Clinton who for no rational reason had been labeled "the most qualified person ever to run for president", versus a businessman Donald Trump, who had never run for or been elected to any office.

Mr. Trump had also never set up illegal servers that breached American national security, had not set up a "charitable foundation" that took money from foreign entities to buy influence as Mrs. Clinton did, and Mr. Trump's campaign did not incite violence at their opponents political rallies.

The conventional wisdom said that for Mrs. Clinton, with the Clinton machine history, the mainstream media totally committed to her, the Washington and New York establishment committed to her, and even many moderate Republicans joining her awful cause, it truly seemed impossible that Donald Trump could win this presidential election – but he did!

Over 300 electoral votes for The ticket of Donald Trump and Mike Pence, at a time when the conventional wisdom said it simply couldn't be done. Americans Who Hillary Clinton called “deplorable”, who she called "regular people" that she despised, evaluated the situation, spoke quietly to each other, gathered at rallies peacefully, and they prayed – and they won!

The Trump/Pence ticket not only won the presidential election, but also had political coattails long enough to build on the majority in the House of representatives, and hold a majority in the U.S. Senate! State governorships and state legislatures became more and more Republican in 2016 as well.

Americans supported Donald Trump because he was saying the things they believed in their hearts, things they wanted desperately to see reflected in their government.

Freedom and liberty would be promoted and respected once again, Family would be respected, and Faith would also once again be respected and defended. Mr. Trump stated on several occasions that it appeared that Christians were the only group that could be discriminated against without consequence in our modern time, and that should not continue. So against all conventional wisdom and conventional odds, Freedom and Family and Faith won big time in 2016!

I would like to personally thank each person who spoke and rallied and voted – and prayed - to bring about this miraculous positive change in direction for our nation!

Blessings always,
Ricky Lee Jackson
